I trade lots, but there isn't really much point posting a screenshot since 90% of the screenshots on here are fake anyway.

I blame Lone Survivor. They had their logo all over that movie and it didn't show them in a good light.

Also you have 100 shares in RTN?

50 shares sir. Lost 4% since I bought them the other day. One of my worst trades so far in terms of logic. I saw it approaching the R1 pivot point and I bought, and almost right away it dipped.

Should be up by christmas once the B-52's start rolling down the tarmac to rain on ISIS.

Perhaps, I am hoping for something much quicker as it is dying up a decent bit of my portfolio. Beware though, I used the same logic to buy it as well, since the war in Ukraine, ISIS, Iraq, etc. occurring is bound to get them more contracts. I should've invested in LMT instead.

Seems like the whole military-industrial complex industry (LMT, RTN, etc.) is taking a huge hit. Might be a good time to buy?

Anyone know why this is happening?

Doubtful, nothing I've seen in the portfolio thread looks particularly unrealistic (until some faggot starts typing 9's all over and screaming about how rich he is)

From the looks of things all market are dipping, especially over the last 2-3 days. You can't do anything about it. All that you can do is either cut your losses and recover what you can or try and wait out for correction as soon as these dips blow over. But that's your choice and from my brief reading it doesn't look good for now.

In general, while the Democratic regime is strong, I would say there's a good potential of military based firms losing value, while a Republican regime seems to make military related firms gain value, seeing as that is one of the ways George W. Bush and Saudi ministers made so much money through the Iraq and Afghanistan wars, through investing in firms that would be involved in the future conflict.

>> No.502509

>>502500
Not too sure about this. There haven't been many cuts and Lockheed has a massive backlog of F35s and Raytheon is guaranteed virtually every contract for missiles and rockets.

>> No.503231

People need to consider that everyone expected the military contractors to be a good buy and did it, bidding these stocks up in the process.

Even based on their expected future returns, a lot of these stocks seem overpriced. The people who profit from the stocks are the funds and investment banks that have owned large positions in them since the 80s, not Johnny come latelys who get the bright idea that the government spends money on defence over a decade after the second Iraq war.

Down 1000$ from last week, was down 2000$ at one point. Didn't even register above minor annoyance.

And even THAT is chump change.

Sometimes it's a good idea if you looking for signs beyond pile-on-because-everyone-else-is-selling, but that also usually involves a relatively short time frame and a tight stop.

Despite ISIS and the 24 hour news, the US is still very much fully transitioning back to a peacetime military. That means there's going to be a looooot of equipment that aren't going to be replaced any time this decade.
