why do countries keep reserves of other countries currencies? why are some currencies more worth tahn others? sweden has a booming economy and they have thei own currency but i dont see countries hoarding kronor like they are hoarding dollars, yen, euro and yuan.

imagine you have ongoing debts in euros. now would be a good time to buy a shitload of euros for cheap, for use in repaying those debts. same applies to nations. you can also hedge your foreign currency holdings with other foreign currency holdings.
