Delivery drivers are so fucking stupid /biz/. I order GH tonight and I get a notification that the order has been delivered. I check outside my door and there's nothing. I inform them that nothing was delivered. About 2 minutes into this, I hear a quick bell ring, like half a second. I talk into it and ask who it is and I hear nothing. I get my refund, but then I look at my phone and the driver said that he left it in front of the apartment lobby. Sure enough, I fucking walk down there and it's in a bag outside. I gave explicit instructions to ring my door number, where the elevator was, and which door I was after exiting. This pajeet just lightly rings it for half a second, no response, drops the bag outside the front.

gg I got a full refund and free food.

honestly it's the delivery service's fault. these apps explicitly allow you to say "deliver to my door", and enter your floor and number information as well as any gate codes for getting into the building. if it's available then customers will use it, it's not up to the customer to figure out what features of the app will burden drivers and which won't. that's up to the company

imagine putting the trust of the food you eat into a delivery driver or any low tier service like fast food for food in general. It's a risk. The people hate their jobs.
