Yes true but it was an indication that shit had gone overboard and was at its peak in late 2021. It was GPUs specifically too, cpus etc were all available so were laptops. A similar thing happened back in 2016 but not as big obviously.
Now the market is flooded with cheap gpus, my brother snagged a 1070 for $150 and my friend a 1080 for like $200, both mining GPUs surely but if they were a smart miner they would have been undervolted and probably has less wear and tear than a used GPU used for gaming. I would say if anything the GPU flooding we're seeing now is a big bottom signal since miners fought tooth and nail for these GPUs not too long ago, I've seen all kinds of cards for auction not just 10-series

This collapsed bitcoin because much of that bubble was sitting on top of this delusion that we were going to see widespread adoption of crypto and there was this feeling that we were all going to see it soon. That delusion started to pop late 2021 and the real "Sell everything" signal was when randi zuckerberg dropped that retarded song about making it.
