Wondering how savvy /biz/ness autists are when it comes to bartering and negotiation. Here's a story of mine

>be me, yesterday, buying fireworks on the indian reservation
>stash my extra cash in my car, bring only 80 dollars with me
>go to a stall on the far side of the complex, pick one of the 90 dollar display cases
>tell them I'll take it for 90 if they can get me a 200g cake, 2 packs of roman candles, and some poppers as a bonus
>put it all on the table, reach for my wallet and start counting cash
>turns out I don't have 90 on me, sigh and say I'll go to another stall to see if they can get my order
>vendor panics a bit, decides he can barter down to 80 for one fewer pack of candles
>accept this compromise and give him the 80
>return to my car, stash my shit
repeat process
>go to another stall on the other end with just 20 bucks this time, ask if I can get one of the larger cakes on the shelf
>tells me the price is 30
>say I only have 20 bucks for it
>he doesn't cave immediately and asks for 25
>show him I only have 20 bucks on me, repeat same tactic of considering leaving the stall for cheaper goods
>guy eventually caves in and gives me the cake for my 20

I got ~$140 in fireworks for a benjamin, shrewd business if I say so myself. I know they have to sell their goods and will take just about anything for it, since the worst outcome is a lost customer. Gotta take advantage of that for the best deals.

I'm autistic and I can't negotiate because I'm autistic

I'm autistic too anon, it's easy to learn how to haggle. Start someplace where haggling is expected, like a Jewish delicatessen. Then pick something you don't want. Haggle with the guy over the price and walk out no matter what happens. Rinse and repeat until you work your way up to something you want

You can use that autism to your advantage. Know your prices and work them down to your benefit. Always ask for more and stop moving on price when you select a margin. If they don't want to cater to you, walk away. The worst thing that can happen to them is lost business.
