Ethereum is probably your safest bet in the entire crypto space.

It will be dropping soon, but will climb back up

Short term ETH, long term LTC.

Lol Litecoin shills desperately trying to keep the pump of this obsolete trash going.

It’s ok, stick around here while ethereum shills ETH directly to world leaders at APEC

BTC and LTC are competitors. Their price will depend on confidence in cryptocurrencies as actual currencies and how strongly Bitcoin holds its dominance. As long as Bitcoin's technology stays as poor as it is and remains unable to process a large volume of transactions, you will see LTC supplement it as a way to keep a liquid balance alongside a larger BTC savings.

ETH is in a completely different world. Its price will depend on how much use smart contracts get. Some people used to use it like they would LTC because the transactions were so quick and cheap, but now that a popular dApp launched and exposed Ethereum's own scaling issues, you'll see a lot less of that. ETH is much more of a long-term hold because its use is based on an emerging technology that has yet to be adopted by most industries that will benefit from it. Its value today is primarily based on speculation.
