I’m from the United States specially Los Angeles, so when will it happen? Is this just how old people start a conversation when their bored? I remember before it was global warming then it moved to recession, I have overheard at least 30 different boomers mention a recession in public.

fr my whole life boomers have constantly cried about how a massive recession unlike any recession every before is just around the corner because computers are a bubble, the federal debt, and avocado toast
it's always been a nothingburger
i think they just want everything to collapse so then they really are the only people who ever enjoyed prosperity and they're projecting wishful thinking

>23 and every year
It's scary that babies like that are allowed to have opinions on business and finance. "Every year" for you means the past 5 years tops, before that you didn't even know what a market is

if you're old and smart why are you still poor?

People who are poor and stupid like talking about recessions and economic hardship. When you say that a recession is about to happen, if it doesn't no one cares but if it does this poor pathetic person gets to feel smart for a brief moment because they were "right" about a complex topic.
Constant economic doomerisms are also a way for them to cope with their poor economic choices. If you keep telling yourself "everything is going to craah" then it's easier to cope about being too poor/stupid to invest, buy a house, get a good job, start a business etc. You can just pretend your failure is a defensive strategy

boomers unironically latch on to whatever is on TV. Even a brainlet can figure this out.
drumpf-> COVID-> ukraine-> recession
the boomer generation has the most NPC per Capita

There's probably less than 100 people who post here that truly understand how fucked we are, and why this isn't a recession but the economy literally coming to an end

i understand it.

there's no more cheap energy. oil, gas and coal are not running out as such but they are becoming too expensive to extract.

that means the end of the fossil fuel powered consumer economy and everything that depends on fossil fuels, which is everything including the electric grid.

6-9 months of expenses in an emergency fund
and a recession is as bad as the boogie man
in the closet. Pretty much a big fat headline
selling add space.
