Gold for comparison, same kind of pic.

When zoomed out, both "Silver-BTC" and "Gold-BTC" charts are almost identical to a regular BTC-USD chart. Because that's how devalued they've gotten against BTC. Measuring Bitcoin in USD, Silver or Gold makes very little difference.

And plenty of the people who post on /pmg/ are Gen x'ers, Millennials and Zoomers who see no value in the dollar for the foreseeable future. Keep living in the past, you can fantasize about btc's next x1000 for the next fifty years if you want. Bitcoin will never be an undiscovered brand new asset class again. Silver has millennia of history and above ground supply is dwindling, consumed by industry at a faster rate than it comes out of the ground. Banks are so threatened by silver they invent 250+ ounces of paper silver for every single ounce of real silver that hits the market and make it nearly impossible to actually take delivery from the comex. Try it, they'll dick you around for months before settling in cash and laughing at you for wasting your time.

dealers live off the commissions they take on purchases and sales, regardless of the price. Indeed, even if they have to buy 10,000 bucks a kilo of silver after the happening, at the very moment of the purchase, the sale is guaranteed at the spot price at the Swiss foundry with whom they work.
Moreover, if we arrive at this kind of price, it means that the monetary shift will have taken place and that precious metals will be in high demand. It could even be that the new banks buy your stack directly by crediting your account with the new dollar without taking a commission.
