>Roger Keith Ver (born 27 January 1979[1]) is an early investor in Bitcoin, Bitcoin-related startups and an early promoter of Bitcoin.[2] Ver has sometimes been referred to as "Bitcoin Jesus".[2] He now primarily promotes Bitcoin Cash as Ver sees it as fulfilling the intended and original purpose of the "Bitcoin White Paper", first published in 2009 by Satoshi Nakamoto, in which Nakamoto referred to Bitcoin as a peer-to-peer electronic cash system.[3] [4]
>Born and raised in Silicon Valley, he sold fireworks on eBay and later pleaded guilty to a related felony charge.[5] He served 10 months in prison then moved to Japan in 2005. He renounced his United States citizenship in 2014 after obtaining a Saint Kitts and Nevis passport. He went on to serve as CEO of Bitcoin.com.[6]

Roger ver is the archetype ofnthe guy who felt he got into bitcoin too late, and thus started a "new" bitcoin which he then heavily endorses.

I don't know if he is principally responsible for the btc cash fork but he bought in heavily and tried to push it over regular btc, and obviously it failed.

It's happened so many times over the years, but most people just start a new coin instead of forking btc. E.g. richard heart

I hold 50k flexUSD and it hurts to say, but there's no way Roger is in the wrong here.
He literally has double digit shares of blockchain.com, kraken and binance. That's tens of billions already.
He had 300k BTC during the fork and at least 100k of these are in cold storage. Despite buying BCH as high as 0.5 BTC at one point, he is still the largest bitcoin whale sans satoshi.
47m is nothing to him and he can repay at anytime. He's a billion in liquid assets, let alone illiquid ones. Even his BCH is worth more than that, lol, he's slightly short of 1m BCH.
This must be a power move by him in order to get his money back.

P.S. That being said he's the largest bitcoin cash holder after Satoshi, Jihan and Bitmain. All 3 of which have more than 1m BCH.
I don't hold BCH anymore (dumped for AVAX at $0.33 and $0.50) but newfags who don't understand float will be in for a nasty surprise once those BCH whales accumulate the entire supply and get the privilege of deciding its price.
Could be a long wait though, long waits are shitty positions to take in crypto.
