There has never been any hope. It has always been a scam by self-deluded software-shop boys looking to jump on board the new thing and get rich. But they never had a solid understanding of crypto or a genuinely useful idea, only desperately casting around for ways to keep the lights on. Copying other projects, but copying them badly, and lagging behind, never reading. There was no grand idea, except to get enough money to pay their salaries for one more month. It is centralised shit, a scam that doesn't realise it is a scam.
