I think that was me. USAC Chad taught me the way but I'm not sure if he agrees with me on CAPL and the others. I found a couple similar including CAPL listed above that has performed almost as well. Sunoco is another one with similar moves but it fluctuates with the price of oil so that adds a little extra. Basically find the exdividend date for these high yield, low volume tickers.....everything plays around that date and unfortunately they all seem to have exdivie around the same time. Since dividends for these are quarterly the cycle we play is quarterly also. At exdivie you want to be selling your calls and buying puts. Up to a month after that sell your puts and buy calls with expiration as close to the next exdividend date as you can get...I think USAC Chad has more patience than me so he usually waits til 1 month before exdivie to buy calls. I'll usually buy some early....but of course they're more expensive. Also you may have to wait until they release the rate date since these are all low volume there's only ever 4 dte choices and sometimes that makes it so the calls you should be buying aren't on the board yet.
