Think about the long road. If you get the job because you drank a few beers first, people will not understand why you're less sociable normally, which will either lead you to being fired or sway you to drink more often before work to uphold an appearance. Both create problems down the road. What you should do is unironically bee yourself. And if the job doesn't take you than it wasn't meant to be. Once you find a job that does take you for who you really are you'll be better off in the long run

This is true, but I just need to get through the interview. I've never actually gotten fired for being a quiet weirdo, even though I barely talk to anyone at work and I think coworkers are usually weirded out/pissed about that fact.
But I've cancelled interviews before because I just didn't want to show up.
