HR Executives are critical to design comp/benefit packages that align with company goals, performance management policies, hiring/retention strategies, policy maps, and other shit that companies need to manage their workforce. Even though they're usually the dumbest fucking people in the org outside of recruiting, they are essential to running a large company.

The other shit you listed are marketing tools to attract young/woke talent, and pretty much do nothing other than waste every ones time with stupid tasks/trainings/meetings and shit.

all they do is hang around and talk to people but by god if they dont make the office feel at least somewhat nice
the other day one of them offered me some chocolate balls as i was grinding away on a thing

I'd end myself before living like that. It's like living in a premade pod where you feel free but you cannot get out. Everything is grey, your days are the same, you aren't supposed to own anything, your daily work gets so diluted you feel like you aren't achieving anything in the long run on your own, you aren't able to see the final result of it, if any progress, and definitely you won't be profiting from it either. You get promoted after a while so you get the feeling you're progressing, which is more of the same, just with newbies under you, which remind you of yourself 2, 5, 10, 20, damn, 30 years ago already? And what I've done with my life? Did I truly spend my whole life working for a corporation doing virtually the same over and over again?
