The reason gasoline is expensive is because privately owned greedy oil companies have the right to charge whatever they want for their products. Not "government regulation". There's more deregulation and tax cuts than there's ever been in history. How is giving them even more freedom supposed to fix the problem?

Oil prices are unnaturally low. Folks need to pay their fair share.

This is blatantly false. On day 1 Joe Biden blocked all new drilling.
We were actually energy independent for the first time in over a century but the democrats just have to fuck shit up.

The government regulates gas to the point that new competition cannot knock the big guys down. Remove most of the regulations and we will see the big boys lose billions in profits as smaller companies eat their lunch.

I'm not sure if these posts are by really fucking stupid, sub-20 IQ monkeys or dumb shills.
When a coalition of powerful actors that span the globe promise and act on making fossil fuels extinct to transition into whatever, nothing else matters because there is a perceived expiration date on supply. Now shut the fuck up.

Also fuck off with the Big Oil demonization shtick. The other side of the table is a coalition of even more powerful and vastly more wealthy group of politicians, international organizations, and interest groups.

The problem in america is that the regulations which LITERALLY made the country great have been dismantled across the board since the late 60s.
The explosion in decline of wages and quality of life for normal people directly coincides with the deregulation of the systems that existed to keep the average citizen safe and treated fairly. The only thing that has gone up is profits for the companies behind the deregulation.

The current regulations aren't truly made by the government but by the "big guys". It's why they are the way they are. Blame government all you want but they're not in charge.

The U.S. government was restricting and canceling oil production, and promising to reduce the world oil supplied by Russia. Of course oil refiners accounted for this when making their plans to convert to summer production. Now we have exactly the amount of gas the government claimed it wanted us to have. Naturally the gas price goes up.

It's not that hard guys, just find out where the oil barons live and make them stop.
