Would it be/is it feasible to play the lottery over a certain period of time and see any six fig winnings?

No

no, in any case the best strategy would be to maxbuy a lot of tickets just for 1 date

>> No.49909448

>>49909236
Doesn't matter whether you buy for just one date or spread across multiple dates. It's exactly the same odds of winning

Is it? I've never played but I assume there are a finite number of tickets for each drawing, so buying a larger % of the total tickets in one game would be statistically superior to one ticket for many games.

>> No.49909937

>>49909082
No, I know someone who literally buys $100 of tickets each week and she hardly ever wins anything (and if she does it's just the $10 award or a free lucky dip)
Waste of time and money, you have more chance of being hit my lightning twice. Why don't you put the money you would have put into this waste of time into cryptocurrency instead? Bigger chance of making it with crypto than the lottery

The only reason gambling and the lottery exists is because there are more suckers paying in than the house has to pay out.
There are no shortcuts. Work hard, save your money.

no it's not, if you buy 2 tickets for two different dates your chances would be 1/10000000 (for example) in both, but if you buy two tickets just for one date it would be 2/10000000

State lotteries are probably scams, and even if they aren't you have much better odds of 'making it' doing a little work and trading with care and discipline.

i think i have a sort of system, bu the returns are small.

so most gambling games including sports betting have a house edge or margin of 2-7%. in some cases it can be even higher, but what i noticed about loterry numbers is that they only have a margin if you bet one number.

anything more than two numbers has a fair payout. which means 0.5 chance pays out 2 to 1. whereas in most games a 0.5 probability of occurence would payout 1.9 to 1, which is -110 in freedom units.

imo if you play the hot numbers a lot over time you should make some profit. that is depending on whether or not hot numbers have a higher likelihood of being drawn(needs further statistical study).

these days on online casinos you can do it very quickly. say you select 10 numbers on 20/80 extraction. you can input the amount of combinations that you want which from 1/10, 2/10 all the way to 9/10 to 10/10 which means you're playing for all of them to be drawn(which rarely happens).

now on a 20/80 there is an implied probability of 0.25 of any one number to be drawn but the odds will be something like 3.8.

from 2 numbers up it just goes up. for 2 numbers its 16, for 3 numbers its 64 and so on and so on.

if you are strategic about it and you're not blowing out your bankroll all at once, and assuming you know when to stop i guess you're looking at a quick 20% after a few draws at most. probably over time it irons out to a nice near 0%.

Someone teach this cunt gambler about spy options. The market could always use another low IQ player to provide liquidity for my moves.

That will be gambling. It is better to play social games like FUFU for rewards you are sure of.

Set up a weekly budget to bet and bet only when the prize gets large like 100+ mil depends on the odds but powerball is like 200 mil odds so only start betting at 300 - 350 mil jackpot l guess? In my country the highest odds game is 50 mil, I'm currently betting hard on the 29 mil odds because the pot is very large already.

Let’s say the lottery is a coin flip. You can buy a ticket that says heads and a ticket that says tails. There are only two tickets sold. They are sold for $10 each. There will be two “rounds” of this “lottery”. The winner gets all the money out in.

If you have $20, you can buy two tickets.

If you buy heads and tails for round one. You have a 100% chance of winning $20 in round 1 but a zero percent chance of winning round 2. Your expected value is $20. You gain nothing and lose nothing because you have a 100% chance of winning round one because you bought 100% of the tickets.

If you buy heads for round one and heads for round two you have four possible outcomes.

R1 R2 Payout
H H $40
H T $20
T H $20
T T $0

Because there’s a 25% chance of each of the above outcomes, a risk neutral player will discount the payout value for each outcome to 25 cents on the dollar. (You would probably be OK with buying a ticket with a 50% chance of winning $1 for 50 cents.)

0.25*(40+20+20+0) = $20

The same expected value as above. Thus there is no difference between you buying two tickets in lottery A or one ticket in each lottery A and B. You just have higher variance in outcome but same EV.
