the biggest L2 DApp is going on it's own way, they would rather join Cosmos and have their own blockchain

Huge news. Why doesn't /biz/ ever talk about Cosmos? It seems to be the only ETH alternative that actually has real adoption, not just copy paste faggotry with muh incentives that meme chains like SOL and AVAX have.

>>49899779
IBC probably, I'm not aware of any cross subnet mechanism on Avalanche at the moment tho i've heard it's in progress. Also SDK is more battle tested and mature thus far, Subnets have yet to roll out and many of the infrastructure is still in progress.

Other than that i'm not seeing reasons to use Cosmos over Avalanche here, Design is pretty similar but Avalanche have the consensus algo advantage here.

>>49899658
Starkware just isn't ready probably, Ethereum people overhype everything because the whole roadmap is built around third parties being successful at nail ZK scaling.

Gotta love those VC backed projects eh anon? "The dYdX Chain features a fully decentralized off-chain orderbook" uhm u wot m8? Fully decentralized.....off chain? Excuse me? These dumb niggers couldn't even figure out how to use NFT's for tx contracts to reduce gas, pathetic. When the market bottoms and everything is burning the real deal options dex will launch taking everyone by surprise who is sleeping on it kek. See you in September fags.

I believe Cosmos father is a big fan of Avalanche consensus too. Also something i haven't mention about Avalanche Vs Cosmos in favour of Avalanche is native EVM support.

I do favour Avalanche design long term (Both technically and economically) simply because Tendermint is capped on decentralisation for my liking and the instant finality on Avalanche is a neat feature, But at the moment Cosmos SDK is probably the better option unless you necessarily need robust consensus for your app, Cosmos been here since 2015, It has more dev tooling and experience.

>> No.49901270

>>49899704
been saying this on /biz/ for a while. building on ETH is a PITA with little reward. tokens do not accrue value on ETH. devs will sell their tokens and move to build their own chain.

>> No.49903651

Smart move; they can have a sovereign chain while still being able to communicate with the larger environment thanks to IBC. With the Hub offering shared security, that side of the project will also much easier and secure. Plus, Cosmos has a large and growing number of talented devs, and a lot of users in the general environment.

Honestly, smart move. The Cosmos vision of a million interconnected yet independent blockchains is constantly getting validated.

It’s still too early in the game to predict these types of moves; from our vantage point at least. That’s why we’re all just holding link.

Dydx uses link oracles, if you didn’t know.

>muh DPoS centralized

>muh sharding model is outdated and bad
>muh Golang bad

SDK is the most mature of the bunch, IBC integrated and the only mature cross-chain standard that supports arbitrary cross-chain messaging, FOSS modules already developed and incentivized via grants, completely customisable in every aspect (gas, fees, blockspace, block times, EVMOS pushing 2s finality on Testnet), tons of infrastructure available and out there, great and competent teams of devs, community driven
