I do. The UX for channel management is not great right now.

But once you have a node with sufficient inbound and outbound liquidity, the experience is better than on chain.

Transactions are instant, low free and anonymous because they use onion routing.

It's just getting a working node which needs improvement. Hopefully channel factories and autopilot improve so that running a node becomes easier.

So much this. People will be surprised in a couple years when they use lightning and realize the experience is actually great when your node isn't managed like a retard. As more healthy nodes come online its gonna be so much better to use even for non-technical folks. I never have problems because my node is actually decent.
RGB on lightning is honestly super exciting and won't be limited by transaction bottlenecks.

Why are Bitcoin and Monero maxis always at each other's throats? I hold both, they're both PoW, they're both infinitely better than all the other garbage out there. Why don't we focus on shitting on PoS and all the other trash instead?

>> No.49899846

monero is private by default. bitcoin isn't. nobody short of few autists will use this if it comes to fruition so anonimity set will be trash as well. if you said bitcoin kills zcash i would agree because that's what this is.

Kraken supports it and it works pretty well

Some do. I use it primarily for donations for an open source project I’m creating. Actually received a few small donations that would have been impossible on chain.

Also my VPS for uses bitpay which now accepts lightning.

Other than that, there are websites that sell steam keys and gift cards that accept it and hopefully more stores soon.

And there are some exchanges. Kraken being the largest probably. Haven’t used robinhood yet but I’m excited to give that a try after they announced lightning support

Also nicehash supports it. It’s awesome for mining. You no longer have to wait a month to withdrawal if you’re a small miner like me. I think NH has a min withdrawal limit of 2k sats on lightning which I usually get every day or so. Can withdrawal instantly over lightning rather than having to wait a month for on chain like I had to before
