I have a theory it's because your brain perceives separate topics and outlooks from different users as opposed to a single, fluid story line written by one person, making it feel like you're not switching up your focus constantly, whilst your brain desires input from multiple different energies (concepts, ideas, etc).

I would be diagnosed as ADD or ADHD but it's probably just the way your brain works because deep down you enjoy this diversified stream of different information and you enjoy constantly scanning it/analyzing it because it's refreshing.

The only time I'd consider it a disorder is when you can't focus on something you actually enjoy doing (not including things you feel you should be doing but don't want to such as: homework, chores, menial tasks, cleaning up, doing dishes, etc).

Don't fret it, it's natural for inquisitive beings.
It just becomes agony when you don't have access to information/media like this.

I can't really watch movies or tv shows unless I'm drunk (and even then I only ever really watch clips taken from the film on youtube).

The internet may exacerbate it but at the same time, it's probably just the way our brain/spirit works.
