based on the replies in this thread, this is the shittiest finance board on the internet to get advice from. there is no reason not to use a credit card because if you pay your statement in full and on time you literally get free money in the form of rewards. you also show to the money lenders you are reliable and increasing how much you can potentially borrow if you need it

now if you're a financially illiterate poorfag who can't control themselves and spends more money than they can pay back, then maybe stick to debit cards. i've seen many poorfags stuck paying double digit interest on their credit card debt because they don't understand how they work.

also, it frees up money for you to invest. i'd rather pay a few hundred in interest over a few months to be able to use my cash in hand than xpose myself on a leveraged trade with margin or just miss opportunities.

i'm also building up my credit limit as a first line of defense against inflation. worst case inflation goes to double digits and i can use credit to give myself runway.

what im saying is i calculate the interest of keeping a balance of $2-$3k on credit for several months, and using money that you would put towards paying full statement balance into a security or crypto then an take profit on your investment. if you're wrong, you're out the cost of interest but you won't be liquidated.
