Still comfy waitin' and holdin'.

>Summary

SOXL Info
>The Direxion Daily Semiconductor Bull (SOXL) 3X Sharesseek daily investment results, before fees and expenses, of 300% of the performance of the ICE Semiconductor Index
>The ICE Semiconductor Index is a rules-based, modified float-adjusted market capitalization-weighted index that tracks the performance of the thirty largest U.S. listed semiconductor companies.
>Index Top Ten Holdings %:
>Broadcom Limited 9.34 Qualcomm 7.87 Nvidia 6.99 Intel 5.83 Advanced Micro Devices 5.06
>Marvell Technology 4.77 Micron Technology 4.31 Applied Material 4.15 LAM Research 4.11 KLA Corporation 4.09

Unfuddable
>Shorts never closed (SOXS)
>’MOASS' is a matter of time
>Total semiconductor sales in 2022 are forecast to grow 11% and reach a record-high $680.6 billion after worldwide revenues climbed 25% in the 2021 economic rebound from the 2020 outbreak of the Covid-19 virus crisis, according to the January Semiconductor Industry Flash Report that IC Insights will release next week as part of its 2022 McClean Report service. The Semiconductor Industry Flash Report shows the total semiconductor market growing at a low double-digit rate in 2022. Sales growth is expected to slow, but remain above average, in all major semiconductor product categories.
>AI and IoT, in particular, have sparked a new wave of innovation in the semiconductor industry. Manufacturers who can meet the needs of both AI and the IoT for semiconductor chips will likely rise to the top in future markets.
>In addition, the implementation of 5G networks coincides with growing demand for faster high-performance computing devices. Semiconductor manufacturers have vast opportunity to tap into this new market—as long as innovation can keep up with consumer demand.
>You are watching this thread from a PC/phone that’s using semiconductors right now!

I have a banker friend who has been trying to win a mandate from a crypto lending platform to advise them on acquiring other distressed lending platforms. He said the lack of basic financial knowledge (illiteracy) is shocking. These people don’t understand what insolvency means.

None of these guys understand that you cannot simply buy assets from an insolvent entity (they are all trying to bid assets at 10% LTV) without any legal advice. None of these deals will happen - soon all these morons will find out that is breaking the law. Expect further liquidations and insolvency filings to come this week on BTC. Which will have salient ripple effects on equities.

Nearly impossible until a system of launderers pop up, but it's already very difficult to use bitcoin for illicit purposes since governments infiltrated all the points of entry to the blockchain and slapped KYC restrictions on the exchanges and wallet hosts.

Then again, the technology is out there. If CBDCs arrive then I think either bitcoin or a very similar successor (not eth) will be able to take up the mantle of a true libertarian currency. And if not then we'll always have /pmg/

Anything with inelastic demand could be interesting (healthcare, consumer utilities, consumer staples). But beware of heavily indebted companies that took advantage of a decade of free money, for they will be rolling over that debt at higher rates and thus paying a greater interest expense.

Having a lot of combat vessels doesn't lead to high logistical output. The current issue with the PLAN is that they don't have the sealift capacity to actually put a huge force in Taiwan and keep them supplied. Even if they gathered a bunch of civilian vessels to help bridge the gap, it isn't good enough.

Maybe in the future, they could but they would need to suddenly push for a lot more LHDs and LSTs. Even more than their current build rate.

Honestly if Biden tries to do anything short of backing off the anti oil rhetoric, he's going to absolutely implode the fragile economy we're in.

I think draining the SPR isn't gonna do shit except open us up to vulnerabilities and I can't believe I'm saying this but the government should hold onto their fucking oil. Personally? I'm long the commodity not necessarily the companies, just because Americans are retarded and democrats aren't gonna stop. (mfw NOPEC bill kek). OIL isn't going to be a good trade to hold onto for two or three years, but oil demand is gonna fucking go way up this summer. No way the pathetic rate hikes they're doing will kill demand before we peak. I'm looking to get out about 160 but may hold a position up to 200.

I am skeptical about the idea that the increase in the price of one product, whatever it may be, can result in a general increase in prices.
There was an oil crisis during the 70's before and in the US the inflation reached close to 15% at its peak, in many other places it went all the way up to 25%
Not in Germany however, whose central bank, the Bundesbank, was and still is the most hardcore when it comes to keeping inflation under control and had no trouble turning up interest rates. As you can see,

My guess would be that Argentina is actually well positioned to get out of this collapse relatively well.
Agriculture is a large part of your domestic GDP (exported) and the cost of food is rising around the world due to shortages in addition to transport costs.
Oil - Argentina is self sufficient with fossil fuels and thus not at risk of getting gouged by OPEC
I expect the retail and business sectors to take a decent hit which will likely put the country in a recession for a few years, but I don't see it escalating into a full blown depression.
With banking and retail sectors slowing, there may be a transition to greater investment into the mining sector - which could put the country in a better situation economically after the recession ends.
