>can wrench on my own car, outside, in the middle of the summer for 10 hours straight when it needs to be fixed
>no profit involved, just pride in something i own and keep nice on my own

meanwhile
>get mentally bored/exhausted from working on my SaaS project within 2 hours of sitting down
>no physical work involved at all
>could potentially make zuckerberg money if i actually could get something done
>something in my brain makes me zone out after a couple of hours of looking at a screen, no matter the potential reward involved

Can someone explain this perplexing duality? I can't formulate a reasonable explanation for it

Deep down you know your office work isn't fulfilling.

Hi! You are dealing with something I had. Just like you, I would spend hours making music, exhaustion present but no extra melody in the instrumental. I started getting bored just like you, every 2-3hours, sometimes even less.

How to fix it?

Turns out that my mind slowly little by little gave up on this hobby as it seemed to be tied to someone, and as we broke ways, the feelings towards making music slowly faded away.

I sold every device I bought, I needed money, but my heart didn't hesitated when I sold the devices.

Looks like music is something I never wanted to do for me but for people.

You will be able to accomplish a hobby only when you really love it and do it for you.

Sorry anon, it's a sad way of thinking

humans are NOT meant to be staring at a screen for hours, because office work is not natural.
