Aren't alts supposed to react to Bitcoin dumps? They aren't moving at all.
Something feels off.

because they are selling what they can.

this. major funds are liquidating their assets. they had some alts exposure but mainly were holding btc/eth.
they are not even done yet.

ok
but think about who causes large moves and why
they cannot simply sell their alt positions.
this is why eth is falling so hard. good luck.

bitcoin dominance excluding stablecoins was 60%, alts dumped 90% already, bitcoin is just catching up

>> No.49779904

One of the few:
>Large whales are entering the market and because alts are low liquidity their presence is present
>Insolvent hedgefunds already sold off their alt positions first (That explain the massacre alts seen since may against BTC/ETH)
>Alts are too oversold and basically any seller rightnow is a forced seller, BTC.D being a screwed metric due to stablecoins dominance being skyhigh
>BTC losing narratives while Altcoins and Smart contract narratives and use cases seem more robust at the moment
>Trap
>Whales preparing for V-Shape recovery
>Celsius controversy mostly affect ETH/BTC

Yeah this is my thesis too, BTC.D is becoming a psyop chart at the moment, Stablecoins total marketcap is literally higher than the whole Altcoin market excluding Ethereum, In previous cycles stablecoins dominance was at single digits or non existent at all (Tether only debuted shortly before 2018 crash)
