Surely if they haven't bought them yet that number has gone down too? It was 65b at the time of reporting, if they went to buy now then it would cost them less since everything is crashing, no?

>> No.49779514

>>49779402
Depends on how the valuation is made, they love terms like "fair price" but you know they value it at the lowest it is to make it look good. Also that does not include swaps and the hidden positions in private I suspect. The price going down would mean their hedged long position is also screwed for the collateral that they used to borrow the securities in the first place. It's all relative. Then if they used BTC or Evergrande bonds as collateral to borrow vast sums of GME the problem has just become vastly worse for them.

that's the problem with the system of reporting we have now. With only one release of that kind of data a year it's hard to put a finger on where its at between reports. At best it's an estimation/guess. As we speak, they could be raising funds from this crypto dump or shifting holdings around. Until the next 13F / annual report, it's hard to say.

Maybe, but probably not. There's nothing preventing those other stocks from being cellarboxed. It's the natural state of things for the infinite-shorted stocks to die an obscure death. Our stock is still being purchased in droves, which is the primary differentiating factor. Us blowing up someone's balance sheets might expose the other positions they hold, but the whole system is set up around infinite liquidity so most of these cases will never be exposed unless the regulators choose to do so. To expose the positions would fundamentally and permanently destroy the market.

That shit is a quagmire the likes of which won't be truly understood for a generation.

I was deployed there 2019-2020, then ETSed and immediately got a contracting gig back in the sandbox (fuck I miss 7k tax free paychecks) that I worked until about a month before the last American pulled out.

The plan under Donny T was to leave no loose ends and to perform as good a handover as is possible with degenerate cavemen, and was mostly fair to the Afghans. We were working to that end as early as the beginning of 2020. There were thorough plans for equipment and manning, contingencies, timelines, etc etc. Afghanistan would never have stood on their own long term but they could've lasted a couple years.

Then after losing the election the entire plan was put on hold. No explanation, everyone was just told to sit tight and do fuck all. January comes around, we start to wonder what the fuck is going on. Then February. Then March we start getting whispers that the powers that be are getting antsy about the whole thing, and at the end of that month we're told, with no real detail or guidance, to shut it all down, and realized that all the old planning was thrown out the window. Zero thought was given to the Afghans, and most of the useful equipment they received was that which people at the lower levels talked higher levels into leaving. Hundreds of millions of dollars of useful stuff was thrown into literal wood chippers that was meant for them because at that point it was such a mad fucking scramble that the logistics guys were panicking. By the end of April the Afghans realized they were getting fucked, and that gut punch vaporized what little morale they had left.

The cherry on top of that shit sandwich is how absolutely fucked the final couple weeks were; it had deteriorated to the point that the upper echelons of the DoD were getting directly involved in day to day stuff, which was catastrophic because they're utterly incompetent.

>comfy affordable GPUs will come your way anon
>Implying GPUs won't just get more expensive
The price will dip for a short while but it'll get even more expensive soon after. This is because of inflation coming from both money printing and silicon shortages, which are the main causes of GPUs rising in price.

Also because NiggerVIDIA refuses to manufacture more of them.

Is the NFT marketplace be also something akin to the used games stock market? Copies of a game are completely fungible, so they can be traded just like stocks. So for example, a new game comes out, its price on the marketplace in the beginning is the same as the new copy. But as time passes, used copies are hitting the marketplace and because of increased supply, price drops. I'm not sure about liquidity and volume of such market, I also don't know if publishers wouldn't be butthurt about this, as well as steam-like platforms adopting this possibility.

I don't see this happening for digital games. It worked with physical because there's actually a difference between a used and new game, you're paying less for a used copy but it might be scratched up or the case might be broken or something that actually makes the lower price point make sense, you're not getting a factory fresh copy so you pay less. With a digital game if you sell it used you're just going to have a market place of the same games going for higher and lower prices, no one would ever choose the higher price. It'd be based for people buying games but I don't think it makes sense for publishers or developers.

I’ve had similar thoughts in the past, but it’s not hard to see a way forward. You know how people sell WoW/Eve Online/Fortnite accounts? Why wouldn’t the publishers jump on the ability to take a cut of those trades? Or say they launch a game with various randomly generated aspects, where people would be willing to pay more for a copy that verifiably has what they want vs. taking a chance with a new digital copy. Why should EA settle for putting loot boxes in their games when they can turn their games into loot boxes?

Businesswise this wouldn't make much sense as the companies could only make money on the first copy sold aand therefore denying themself revenue.

However if they had a market place where this would be happening and collecting fees on the trades, that might work.

And imagine that market place offers the possibility to lend out your games for a fixed time where e.g. the game can only be played by the borrower and after 2 weeks automatically returns and the company collects fees on this as well. There might be some potential, however there might be the risk especially with story games that those will just be sold/lent out after playing them through and thus over all sales go down.

Using a spoon is objectively the most efficient way of spreading something onto bread. When NPCs are taught to do something a certain way all their lives, they get agitated when someone does it differently even if the different way is clearly more optimal. Kind of similar to investing in GME. Some people are just incapable of understanding.

So what's the take from this whole dollar debacle? Are they going to try to make our MOASS money worthless before implementation of a CBDC? Are they just going to give us CBDC tokens? Because lately I was under the impression that the FED would start deflating the dollar after taxes and then guilt redditors into helping build America and the rest of the world back to what it was before to empty our coffers. I really really hope for deflation so i can buy cheap precious metals and other commodities.

The MOASS is itself a deflationary event as Wall Street gets violently deleveraged and asset prices (including crypto) crash. We're seeing the early phases of this now and so arguably the MOASS started at the market top. This is actually why I'm confident Powell will let it happen without bailing the hedgies out. He gets to deflate the dollar without raising rates to 20%, which is the whole reason CDBCs were thought up to begin with.

radiofag is a worthless faggot and deserves to be sent to the hospital where he racks up hundreds of thousands in hospital bills to treat an incurable and painful disease so he has to sell his measly XX stack right before moass. He sees the price climb to $73,000,000 over the course of 5-6 painful months. He then succumbs to his disease after losing all his teeth and hair and sight. He’s not quite dead just yet but he hasn’t been paying his bills so his limp and frail carcass is thrown into the dumpster behind the hospital. At this point most of his senses barely work but very faintly in the distance he can hear fireworks and music. GME holders partying in the distance. They had forgotten about radiofag long, long ago. He stays alive in the dumpster for a few days before the garbage truck comes and crushes his worthless soul out of existence.

This is why I hold GME.

I legitimately started coming to /biz/ when GME was shilled on /pol/ 1 or 2 days before the sneeze, I didn't think bitcoin was worth my money then, and I never understood how anyone would put money in while only wanting to get an x3 if it reached $100,000... The only coins that caught my attention were XMR and HBAR (and LINK but only because it's apart of the Hedera network now) and since then I've only been excited about LRC. To play devil's advocate, people said pretty much the exact same thing about bitcoin when it was at $5k
"This is the peak, you're already missed your chances", "even if it keeps rising, you'll get max a 3x return if you're lucky and it doesn't crash" etc etc.
The chance of a crash grows the longer it goes without crashing, but no one can predict the peak. If it it grew to $200k, for example, it'd be really frustrating to know that you could've bought in when it was a fraction of that.
And remember, it was only in march 2020 that it was $5k.
I'm not a crypto person but bitcoin felt like the only coin that was actually stable while a lot of the others were pump and dumps that you had to time correctly (obviously I'm wrong about this, just pointing out perception)

Yes crypto is going to go down by a lot. Asia hasn't even woken up yet and when they do, they sell on red days and tank the price even more. I always notice the biggest dips around 12 - 2 am EST so wait until then but Ideally wait a few more weeks. Michael Saylor hasn't gone bankrupt yet and people are theorizing the price will tank when he has to sell, which he says will be @ $3500 but its probably 7k or higher. Like an Idiot I am probably going to sell some now so I can buy back at a profit at some point though. Going down further is inevitable.

I'm definitely not a "crypto person" either, but studying the coins usages and whether or not it would be obsolete by the time something else came into existence was easy as pie for me. I got into HBAR and made 4x within 5 months, pulled out and bought more GME. When it came to bitcoin and what its usefulness was, the only thing that kept getting repeated was "hurr durr digital gold!" and that alone was enough to make me understand it was bullshit. Now that we have LRC and virtually non existent gas fees and the ability to go from exchanges to wallets without layerswaps and Gamestop partnering with sushi... Everything is coming together. Literally nothing except death threats and hitmen from bankers who are 10 steps behind can stop humanity from storing their money safely and securely without a bank. LRC is what people though Bitcoin could become and it only exists at the behest of Gamestop.

We're all really going to fucking make it...

LRC seems like the best candidate due to it being backed by the soon to be richest man (ryan cohen) and other richest men (us) alive and because it's further along with eliminating gas fees and offering an actual alternative to banking. Also the only reason I see HBAR being in the picture still is because Hashgraphs patented capabilities are profoundly better than anything else in almost every aspect.

Get rid of hormonal contraception and no-fault divorce, too. Women are profoundly not equal to men in a state of nature because they spend most of their adult lives pregnant or nursing. All we have to do is get rid of the artificial barriers in the way of that and 200 years of bullshit comes undone.

Bodily autonomy (in the same vein as my right to refuse being injected with jew juice or my right to kill anyone who threatens me or mine) is foundational to my value system. Children have very high potential value but no real value, as humans age our potential value decreases and real value increases. Therefore, the value of being able to remove an unwanted organ exceeds the value of the unborn child.

The implications of this are shit, which is why I agree whores who fuck up should be ostracized, but abortion should not be illegal.
