The energy stocks I'm buying today are cheaper than they were before Russia invaded Ukraine.
This is before accounting for 4 months of record profits.

These companies are/were trading at FCF yields around 30%, and have literally earned 10% of their enterprise value in that same 4 month timeframe.
With SPY down ~13% from the 420 level it was trading near in late Feb, oil stocks have actually underperformed, and are relatively cheaper right now versus other sectors.

If you are comfortable holding them long term, and you want to just make extra money / supplement your income through selling calls, then sure go ahead
If you worry that they will fall / that if they fell 30%+ and you wouldn't have the strength to just keep holding / you don't care if they fall in price, as long as you're making money on your calls
also if you think that they are going to rebound sharply, and don't have issue with leaving money on the table by getting them called away at a lower price than you could get
Imo you would be better off focusing on getting 100 shares of AMZN first, instead of splitting between the two; get the 100 shares so you can start selling CCs right away on it, start making money, and also start gaining experience doing it

The sad thing is it wasn't even that long ago that there was a big unified movement against the banks (Occupy) but all the people who rallied against the banks are now either fringe right wing people that are censored on all media or left wingers who have been destroyed by the woke mind virus.
The only way The US will have a unified front at this point would be a massive purge.
I'm thinking about starting to add SYSCO to my holdings over the next few months - I see the demand for prison food/commissary goods staying stable or increasing as political turmoil mounts and our leadership becomes progressively more authoritarian. Maybe that's why they aren't prosecuting real crime - they need to make room in prisons for all the political prisoners.

Same here. I'm down to 94k right now from 120k since I first started this shit. Might seem like a lot to some, but I'm 35 years old, never enjoyed life (no gf, etc) and I realized I just lost hard at life, even more than I have at stocks. I never enjoyed life up until now, kept my head down was abused at low paying jobs and saved every penny I could (after being homeless). Thought I'd have the American dream by now: a house. Or even a trap boiwife, because a wife and kids is unachievable to me now at this age. Bleh. Where did time go? I'm going to suicide most likely. But might debtmaxx right before that and retire to SEA, since great credit. I just need a pump. To exist this system. I hate it, and these monetary polices are going nowhere. If I had 500K I'd fuck off forever.
