It's got a really strong brand image among younger zoomers and the concerts and events are huge in paving the way, but I don't think people will use Fortnite as a metaverse unless they gut loads of gameplay features, no? There's always a chance someone else comes up with a platform but Meta's VR seems the most likely considering they've owned Oculus for years and probably have some decent mass-market (presumably mobile) VR tech by now.
