Is pic related actually a really legit project with real use cases that's been hiding under our noses for a really long time? In a sea of absolute dog shit that had been rising since 2017, LTC has
>Increased hashrate
>Continued actual development (added taproot, privacy, and smart contracts)
>Crossed 10 years of continuous uptime
>Several really high-value transactions (look it up)
>Increased transactions
>Increased addresses

Am I missing something here? If Bitcoin is considered legitimate and valuable, how is this not?

It's way undervalued because it's a coin that just works without any hype and hype is all that matters in crypto.

I thought that at first too but doesn't XMR have kind of a major scaling problem that it hasn't really solved?

>> No.49654804

What problem? It has dynamic block size and 2 minute block mining time. It's blockchain will be bigger for the same number of transactions though.

Honestly, its a good coin but expect boomer like returns akin to the stock market but with more volatility since it follows BTC since its a BTC clone

The upside to LTC is that it is ALWAYS listed as a staple crypto like for paypal, venmo, etc. It does have merit as a currency - I believe LTC is actually really good to transact since its faster than BTC but so is XRP.

As for privacy - LMAO. If anything its a Monero-lite and if you truly believe in privacy just buy Monero since optional privacy =/= privacy by default. If a fed wanted to ass rape you off a dark web purchase with LTC it would be extremely easy.

Its boring and "decent" hold but dont get excited.

LTC will survive this bear market unlike a ton of other alts. I think its a safe bet even for a 2x-3x. I currently have 100 ltc, and plan on getting another 100 in this bear market. I do believe we drop more so I am setting buy orders at 38.

>Boomer like returns
But why though? I'm struggling to see why this is worth like .2% of a Bitcoin when it's arguably a better version of Bitcoin. Not saying it should be worth more or that it should directly compete with BTC. But this seems exceedingly low if people believe proof of work money is legit.

Probably getting XMR, ADA and maybe some LINK this dip.

For the same reason people are still buying Intel processors - there is a lot of inertia and so Bitcoin will always be #1 simply because it was the first.
At this stage being little better than Bitcoin is nothing, you need to have something truly special that competitors cannot provide (think of true privacy like Monero)...or very good marketing.

>> No.49655770

In simple terms?

LTC is just a clone of BTC

BTC was truly decentralize meaning EVERYONE and I mean everyone had the chance to scoop up BTC for free or for literal pennies. You could have mined with a shitty laptop

Its the first meaning it holds the legitimacy of crypto on its shoulders.

In reality yes LTC is better, yes monero is also better; but defacto BTC has been the most fair - everyone on earth had the chance to make it if they just believed. Also anit govt and jewish things

dogshit

go for adopted/undervalued platforms

dot, avax are safe bets for the next cycle at today's/tomorrow's prices, you'll get an easy and safe 5x when the market returns

near will be huge, it's the most undervalued L1 and I think it can reach $150 B MC in a good market

rose, matic, metis, glmr are also high reward tokens, but on a riskier side

stop listening to morons on /biz, it has gone to shit lately

BTC is better for store of value
XMR is better for transactions

LTC just has no place in the crypto marketplace. Its a winner take all field.

>Being a little better than Bitcoin is nothing
Is it though? What other coins are even a little better than Bitcoin? Being a better version of Bitcoin while running for 10+ years has to be worth more than .2%. AMD isn't so miniscule compared to Intel.

>>49655770
Didn't LTC launch in the same manner though?

That's kind of the point of this thread anon. LTC seems like an adopted and undervalued coin.

Privacy in LTC is good enough for most usecases. Of course if you have glowies looking at you you have to use monero, but for the average person just wanting some privacy it will do just fine.
