Staking is years away, this upcoming update is v.001 which is capped to 25m link, this will have 0 effect on the market, whales have that much link held up and the price has still been shit.

Also 5% apy is very moderate, plenty of places are offering 10%+ on stable coins, honestly crypto coin staking is a joke.
Not interested in making 5% on a coin that dumps 90% in a year, just look at the eth fags, many locked in their eth to 2.0 when it was 4k.
So the measly 5% is a total joke when you could just sell and buy back 400% of your starting stack.

Crypto staking could never be a viable passive income source to live off of, its just far too volatile. Theres thousands of node coins which at one point had a livable staking income, yet now every single one has collapsed and those people relying on it would be homeless.

For 5% you might as well just invest in stock vehicles which have far less risk of collapsing 30% in one day
