Why do people even want these kinds of stables? Aren't collateralized stables good enough. Seems like that should be the design space explored vs more algorithmic stables. I'd prefer a better dai (or just alternatives to it)

The problem with collateralized stables is that the collateral will slowly shift from actual currency backing it to debt backing it, like with Tether, and eventually when people start realizing that they can’t redeem their tether for real money the whole thing will collapse. It only works if the people running in are legit and not simple minded fraudsters, and we haven’t really seen that yet in the stablecoin space.

To think I nearly bought Tron because of some anon on here shilling it. Read up on it and found out it had a similar mechanism to LUNA and decided it was probably best to stay far far away.

Whoever is shorting is a retard... The mechanism to burn USDD and mint Tron (i.e. what would send Tron into hyperinflationary death spiral like Luna) doesn't even exist on the network until November.
