I am sick and tired of smug Europeans. America does all the dirty work, killing all the brown people and commies. Funding all the arms and high tech warfare. Meanwhile euroshitters get to sit around and collect neet bucks and go to school for FREE! Even their criminals get better housing than the average American. And how do they repay us? By making mutt memes and talking shit about how low culture we are. I won't have it. All of Europe needs to be delt with in a very harsh and just way by the next administration.

I have no fucking idea.
I think bear markets usually bottom out within 12-18 months tops
What’s kinda scary here is that the fed is STILL doing rate hikes.
I don’t think the bottom will can come until they cut the rates, because that would be when a bubble has fully popped, right?
Or perhaps the bottom will come sometime after the yield curve uninverts?
Are we currently inverted again? I know we tapped it around February/March but I think it didn’t stay that way

I got a hudson river pre-screen leetcode test and they didn't like the results. It was my first exposure to leetcode-style questions to date, but I still got both right, except for a typo in one. I don't think they actually check the results at all, they just check if it passes codality and auto-rejects if not. Pretty gay.
Next up is g-research. No idea what they're going to be asking this time. I actually don't know if I want to work in finance, it's just a kind of interview practice. Still, disappointing.

This isn't just some stupid bear market, this is the crash that was supposed to happen in 2020 but got swept under the bed with Coronaprinting.
Now the Fed is facing two options: Hyperinflation or buckbreaking the market. They chose the latter because it is what will prevent social collapse.
The 2008 crash got fake relieved through QE and printing trillions in bailouts.
This crash the government has no more Hebrew magic left and can't do anything against the pain. It actually has to push the dagger even further into the corpse because they have to fight against hyperinflation.
The crash was supposed to happen in 2020, but two years of no growth because of lockdowns with unexplained stock growth happened.
This shit is going to go down real hard and it will take multiple years to go up. There is no more offloading problems to the next generation left.

AWS by far, there's really no contest at all.
The azure advantage is that m$ can use its usual tricks to pull business. Basically azure and its tools are designed to be incompatible with everything else to promote vendor lock-in. Next, the sales agents are allowed to offer discounts as deep as 95% for up to 2 years to large clients. Finally, they use the same trick as IBM in using the brand name to get clients, not quality.
The result is that boomers fall for it all the time. Meanwhile tech-savvy ventures go with aws. Nobody uses oracle or ibm cloud ever. Some boomers try ibm and get badly burned, then swear off anything ibm forever.

Austerity is scarier than inflation, in terms of the social dynamics. You can bet on it iyw, but history suggests odds are extremely stacked against you.

If so, yeah, Amazon does pay extra for that and you’d probably be wayyy less likely to work with a shitload of H1B indians.

Unit testing is faggotry that was carried in by the smalltalk/pascal community of dynamic typing faggots.
Static type systems that are remotely sophisticated, like haskell’s, completely eliminate the need for unit testing while also being significantly more thorough.

For example, rust actually has safety for preventing race conditions built directly into the type system.
You can’t even properly fucking unit test for race conditions.

Bro, it's actually a long story but it's the thing that broke my account. I had put like 3/4 of my account into long positions during the selloff in January and the remaining I put into call spreads on DWAC because it surged up when they did that press release saying they're going to have a beta for the website. I figured it's the most overpriced dog shit that still hasn't sold off in this market so let me short it. And then it magically for no reason squeezed up to $100 in like one week. I ended up getting like exercise on three of the call options because there was no time value in them compared to the borrow rate. When I called in to Schwab I was trying to roll the like remaining options out in time. Like even the March expiration I believe was like 20 cents a spread. It might even been to May expiration. Was like 20 cents of spread and this stupid mother fucker at Charles Schwab would not let me roll the options because he said my account had trading violations. So that same day I just closed out the whole position and took like a five or $6,000 loss on it. My account went below PDT and Im broke as fuck so I couldn't wire the money over to fix it. It would only let me close positions and not roll them out.

Loans were based on flat fees, or shares of profit, and not fixed monthly payments so much as an agreed end date.

Such as "I will lend you the mo ey to pay for shipping, but you must repay that cost plus 1/5th the profit of the voyage, due upon ship's return," or just a simple "I'll lend you 1000 dinarii, but you must pay me 1100 within 2 years."

Muslim banks still have systems like this as interest is from jews.
It was common from Babylon until Renaissance banking houses.

People who couldn't pay were enslaved, or had their land and property confiscated to pay for it if they were wealthy enough.
He'll, lasted into the 19th century, at least, as they discuss such in the count of Monte Cristo, where the antagonist loses his fortune fucking up loans for his shipping company.

A tablet, located at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York, from before 664 B.C., records a grain loan with a duration of 8 months at 50% interest, on an annualized basis this would equate to 75% interest. Another document from 568–567 B.C. mentions a 40% rate of interest being charged on a loan but no more details were provided. The British museum possesses a papyrus from around 568 B.C. with a loan inscribed that does not specify the terms of interest but does specify a 40% penalty for non-payment. A grain loan, written on papyrus, from 499 B.C. records a loan with a duration of one year with a 50% interest rate; if delinquent, a penalty of 10% per month would be assessed. Finally, a silver loan from 488 B.C. indicates an interest rate of 85% on an annual basis. This particular loan also assessed a 10% penalty per month for delinquency.

So you’re saying usury wasn’t explicitly outlawed during that time period? No, it was actually earlier, but no (zero) respectable historian would argue with the later time frame estimation because documentation was well developed by that time

great non-argument though

You're talking about 100+ different legal codes.
Usuary was legal.
Usuary was illegal.
Usuary was explicitly limited to Jewish rats.
Usuary was defined as anything above 12% APY.

It was a lot of things.
Current customs were not standard.
Debt slavery and prison were standard, though.
You take the good you take the bad.
There you have.
The facts of life.

blacks are the biggest “victims” of modern usury, see the payday loan signs on every corner

I wouldn’t charge interest if my brother needed a loan, and I wouldn’t ask him for a loan unless I absolutely had to
