They use a 'hedonistic adjustment' to fudge the numbers. For example, a $1000 PC today might confer 3x the happiness points as a $1000 PC ten years ago because it's more advanced. What they forgot is that THERE ARE NO GOOD GAMES ANYMORE so the hedonistic adjustment doesn't work. They do the same for cars (car prices haven't gone up, they've just gotten so much BETTER!), etc. Now shut up and go buy a PS5, which should give you 50x the happiness points the PS2 you had when you were younger did
