How do whales move the price of a large cap?
Do they buy on several exchanges at a time or just one?
Do the market buy or put limit orders just under or above the price?
Other tricks?

this something i have trouble really understanding, but basically it doesnt take as much as youd think to move even a large cap. so someone makes a $10 million dollar move which in turn 'sways' the botnet that is the market which gives them further momentum

then yes by shitting up the order book with big buy or sell walls they can further influence price action

Trade when there's low volume. The price is set by the trades, not by everyone sitting on their bags.

Then it's just a case of momentum ignition and getting out of dodge.
