The average boomer (now age 65) has another twenty years to live. Some will live another thirty or more. So if you are waiting for a mass boomer die off before you do something with your life, you might want to rethink your plan.

I know it's fun to le pink wojak doompost but meat and produce has not gone up that much. I can still get ground beef for under $4 a pound and chicken thighs for under $2 on sale. Yes it's more expensive but staples and basics are not where the inflation is killing you, it's prepared food ie anything from a restaurant because you have to pay some drug addict wagie $20 an hour to cook it for you.

Oh yes, it's totally feasible to spend 20 dollars on seeds, spend every waking hour guarding them from rabbits/birds, fertilize them, spend hundreds on raised beds/soil, water them daily, then do that for 4 months so that you can harvest enough for 3-4 salads. then you can only do that twice a year before the heat/chill kills everything.
