The logic normies apply to money sometimes is shocking. This individual is literally saying that spending more money makes him feel richer. When of course saving and making money should make one feel richer.

Ultimately is this what separates the sheep from the wolves?

There is a reason why a study was done regarding people able to visualize a banana or not: NPCs exist, they are very real, only they have the ability to participate to enforce their programming onto the lone wolfs (sounds kind of gay, I couldn't think of another term) who have the ability to visualize a banana, along with some of the greatest machines man has ever created.

Me, I have a $15k credit card because I know I have to pay it back and only use it as need be for things I was always gonna buy and I have $15k so I stay below that 30% usage limit that dings your credit score more.

i don't agree with him but to play devil's advocate a bit:
There can be a strange kind of alchemy for some people when it comes to buying high end goods they can barely afford. It helps grease the gears of society and can actually wind up making you a higher earner because of the connections and relationships you can form. If you're buying that shit and just sitting at home and not even streaming or something, then yeah, it's a terrible strategy.

Spending mindlessly is bad but using a little of your gains to buy yourself a nicer bed, a nicer chair and stuff you use daily if you grew up poor can really make a difference and help you understand the value of the numbers of the screen you trade everyday. Not saying to just go full consoom mode, but some reality checks making you fully grasp what you can achieve and where you can end up if you remain steady in your lifestyle can be a excellent discipline pills and motivators. I know it's the case for me.

>holy shit if only I was even wealthier I could afford to have this level of quality in all areas of my life on top of financial freedom, I have to keep saving, work smart and not fall for Jewish tricks this is what <insert scapegoat enemy you use as fuel and motivator to keep moving forward so you don't feel bad about your parents/environment giving you a shitty hand in life, because it can limit your ability to progress and see things from a growth perspective if you lack the mental fortitude to recognize and admit that while some things are out of your control you have to make due with what you've been given> took away from me

This only works if you have some extra income though. No point rewarding yourself if you're still stuck between a rock and a hard place. But if you can reasonably spend a little more without said purchase completely throwing your plans awry then do it. A good bed, a good chair, a filter for water and other stuff you use daily can and WILL make a difference regardless. Focus on utility and growth mindsets just like you'd do with your investments

I grew up dirt poor and now make 6 figures at my job and have a low-mid 6 fig crypto stack. Among them ther frugalities, I drive a 25yr old car I bought for 1.5k almost a decade ago. I still live dirt poor but know when to spend for quality…like spending a grand for an office chair but wearing a cheap hoodie and pajama pants while I’m sitting in it. Some poor people are meant to be eternal slaves.

You fucking psychos are so far gone in your slave mentality, it's almost funny. You really think your masters are penny pinching and living frugally and that's what makes them rich. You won't achieve financial freedom by eating goyslop instead of a nice steak now and then. Retiring five years early because you lived like a rat your whole life doesn't make you smart. Investing an extra 200 bucks a month won't save you. At the end of the day, the only way out is to hit multiple 100x jackpots, and the pennies you save living the the good little slave you are won't do jack shit for you.

i mean i guess, but you're acting like goyslop is somehow cheaper than buying and cooking your own steak. That's what future smart money does; they buy and prepare their own food. It's all planning, and that's more an overarching lifestyle than anything else. We're not talking about choosing the Mcdonald's drive-thru to save money, that's retarded and makes no sense. A combo meal is at least ten dollars these days, you can get a (relatively) massive amount of minimally-processed chicken legs for that. Nice demoralization attempt tho

I don't know why people are hung up on this, to me it makes sense. He grew up poor, but now is not so he does not have to compromise like he did when he was younger and it feels good.

And he's right, I grew up less wealthy than I am now and I have lots of extras and luxuries that my family didn't. I grew up sleeping on hand me down mattresses on the floor of a basement. After earning a bunch of money I got a real nice bed and mattress and sheets and all that. It was expensive but I didn't care.

In some ways its harder to hold back because you want to make up for all the time you had a lower quality of life. The edge and fear of losing your money is always there though, and I don't think this guy "spending on quality" is tied to out of control spending. Plus buying things that are good quality is often cheaper in the long run than buying shit stuff. Not being able to buy what you need or high quality stuff (relatively) is in itself a poverty trap.

Wolves are made when one of two things happen. They scam someone for a significant profit and get a significant high from it, or they face tough cirucumstances that force them to play conservative/dirty just to survive. None of these people actually grew up "poor". It's not possible to grow up poor with the government giving so much free money to low income people. You are only poor if your parents spend their gibs on drugs. Kids with well off parents are more likely to grow up actually "poor", since their parents might be the type to never give them anything. Ideal would be some middle ground. Use your wealth to set your kids up for functional success while also not spoiling them. Despite my dad being executive level most of my life he was frugal and a boot straps guy barely helped me pay through college, made me pay him back for my first shitbox car, etc.

I get some of it but I don't get setting me back $30k early in life to teach me some sort of "lesson." Meanwhile I had friends with normal middle class parents that would pay for their college and apartment.

it's just another addiction. being able to feel urges and just go "it's just hormones it'll pass" is the self control everyone needs to have a good life and made consitent good deciions. One thing i really liked from "easy peasy method" was the fact it pointed out the substance creates the need. Most people think doing the thing that feels good relieves the urge, but it's the opposite, you do the thing, drug, shitty behavior ect.. and it just makes you want to do it more. So yeah, spending money like that spur of the moment, makes you feel like a baler, but then you need another hit later on.

This is complete bullshit. In England if you work you get no free opticians, dentistry, travel etc.

But if you go on benefits, you can only live a subsistence, dependent lifestyle of the absolute basic things to survive. I only made it because of my boomer mom winning the lottery on a detached, 3 bathroom, 3 bedroom house that was in disrepair, and now she's comfortable. Pure luck.

Many people are very very poor. Very poor. The elite spit in our faces.

I had my niece and nephew as fosters. All necessary tools were provided. That means a car, decently fashionable clothes, and a cell phone. Those aren't luxuries, those are needed so they didn't just make friends with the poor kids. College paid by the state. No allowances, but minimum wage for all household tasks, and if they wanted more I'd make something up for them to do. I provided what they needed, they had to work for anything they wanted. Worked mostly well, both graduated from high school and work decent blue collar type jobs.

>>49412488

It's not bullshit, at least in the USA. Section 8 pays your housing, food stamps pay your foods, medicaid covers your medical. You can work part time making $10k with two kids and they government will dump another $10k in cash payments on you from the earned income credit and child tax credits. Nobody child is poor in the USA unless their parents are fucking them over.

That guy made it by luck.
Yes, there was a lot of hard work involved due to his circustances being so fucked up, and he deserves every bit of what he's made, but he didn't become rich because he saved a few extra bucks, he became rich because he invested in good things that yielded really high ROI. If he had spent less of his paycheck on investing he would probably be exactly where he ended up, maybe with a couple hundred thousand less, because, more than anything by several orders of magnitude, it was his smart investment choices that yielded results.
Also, I feel I should point out to you retards, when I say you shouldn't live like a rat because what matters is hitting the jackpot, this implies you still have to invest your money. You won't make it from investing a couple hundred bucks, you do still have to put thousands of capital to have a reasonable chance. But whether he had invested 40k or 30k, he would still have had roughly the same results.
