What are some alternatives for an American to use besides Coinbase for buying coins? 90% of the shit I want to buy is not supported. All the other exchanges I looked into want me to upload my ID and a selfie.

Anyone have experience with the coinbase wallet? Oddly enough, for every unsupported coin, they have a message that says it can be traded on their wallet. I like cbase because it has a simple UI and I can instantly cash out with 0 fees, but like OP, their list of supported coins is shit

all i know is i have 58 dollars of tether stuck there, they want 30 bucks to send it, but won't let me turn it into eth, so i have to send eth to it (pay fee) send tether out (fee) then send eth back (fee) which would be like 100+ buckos. All of the centralized exchanges are like that. Send your crypto off of CB to your wallet and use a decentralized exchange of your choosing to get literally anything. DeFi is pretty much the only thing that crypto can do right now and you've missed the point lol. Check out RBX if you want to do it all in one place.
