Where do they get their money for their day to day operations? Will they be able to survive the bear market?

They suppressed their entire bullrun by dumping millions of LINK weekly.
They must few billions USD in reserve and could survive for years unless they continue hiring HR roasties

What do you mean they sold during the bullrun? What about their investors? Are they going to buy back now to put a floor on the mess they created?

Seriously, anyone? Is this true?

you hold link

They sold to bootstrap the network which was always the intention. Once the network was in profit without needing to sell tokens they stopped dumping, and haven't dumped any for months now. This is completely normal. When staking comes out the network will be providing value for token holders via the processes which keep the network running, i.e. NOT inflation. In this way Chainlink will become one of the few, if only, crypto projects to provide a profit for their users without that profit being derived from a ponzi. Bootstrapping the network with dumped tokens was the only way to initialise this process, and in the end will be a tiny price to pay.
Yeah, we missed the 2021 bullrun. Anybody who doesn't buy enough Link before the virtuous cycle ramps up will miss the 2023-30 Link singularity event. I think I know where I'd rather my ducks be sat.

yes
they will go bankrupt soon

>they sold to bootstrap the network

So they didn't make cash reserves? They only paid node operators? How are they funding their day to day operations now then?

Sergey is filthy rich, fucker was an early investor/miner of bitcoin and he owns a venture

So Sergey is funding Chainlink Labs?

>> No.49368221

They use the dumped Chainlink, but they dumped 750k Link a week during the bullrun, so they have a serious warchest to fund them. There's nothing wrong with selling tokens to fund operations, by the way. The only other way to do it would be to limit growth to match revenue, which would be too slow and risk them losing their first-mover advantage, or two take on investment from VC's, which would mean they are dependent on outside actors, which is bad. The dumps were wholly transparent and anybody who didn't like them was free to sell at any point.

>> No.49368238

>>49368178
So they're in debt? How will they pay it back if the token is dumping?

>> No.49368247

>>49368189

>> No.49368349

>>49368221
You say it's transparent, did they document how much was for nodes and how much they retained? Also, since they profited from the token being high and added sell pressure, will they add buy pressure and buy back now that it's low? It is usually done in traditional finance, gives the market confidence in the asset

>> No.49368454

>>49368238
I suppose they have accumulated passive positions on how they pay back, probably a mix of passive market operations with link like providing liquidity, otc sells and fees for consulting

>> No.49368893

>>49368349
You can work out how many link they sold, how much they sold for, and how much the nodes cost to bootstrap. The rest is in the warchest, for operating costs, salaries etc.
It's all there, on the blockchain.

>> No.49370322

They still have 450 million LINK to dump in the next bullrun lmao.

Nodes are profitable. Selling has stopped and the remaining tokens are for staking rewards.

chainlink labs have had 3 funding rouns and they dumped 500k-1500k tokens a week for 2 years
what do you mean where do they get their money?
