Who else is from the US and relied on Binance? So what do we do when Binance.US ignores customers and leaves tickets open indefinitely? Check the Binance.US subreddit or the Twitter support account. People have had tickets open for a year and still nothing. I have been locked out since March, and now they want me to verify my identity a second time when I already did so in the past. Their support remains silent and just asks for my documents, and video proof. When I provide those, they leave me hanging.
Since the California office isn’t willing to help its customers, where can users who have had their accounts frozen go to get support? That's right, basically nowhere and that's the worst part.

Whoever is at the top needs to do something about the outright apathy at the Binance US branch. They shouldn't just be able to take people’s coins hostage until they feel like giving it back and make us fight for our own money. Thank god I don't have much there but it is infuriating still, once this problem is solved I'll move my funds to Coinbase and ditch chinknance forever. Fuck CZ.

Things have changed since a few years ago, there's no need to personally own your coins anymore. It's also more convenient for shorting and longing since no decentralized platform offers you such services. Coinbase also happens to be US-based and is far more secure than binance.

Kucoin is also a chink exchange, so they have chink-tier customer support like binance. I still use them since they didn't ask for KYC when I signed up (and they didn't ask any questions when I said I was a Jew named Kevin Goldberg or something), but there is definitely no crypto exchange that can be trusted to keep money you're not ready to lose or open a lawsuit to retrieve.
Coinbase has shit fees, but I don't mind paying them once to convert fiat into crypto. I honestly don't understand why people hate them so much. At least they're based in a western country so if they decide to hold funds hostage I can involve some lawyers, and law enforcement will have jurisdiction, authority and power over them to force them to hand shit over.

i haven't used a centralized exchange in over 5 years. any half decent modern coin can be obtained from a dex. if there's some obscure coin you absolutely need and its only on a cex ok fine, if you want to short or long (ie gambling) then fine use a cex. if you're some giant whale and you need a lot of liquidity ok use a cex. for everything else just use a dex and not have to worry about getting your coins stolen because you hold the keys the entire time. but you're going to have to do some research instead it's easier to shrug your shoulders and keep taking your chances on a cex, after all everyone else is doing it.
