I recruit in the blockchain / crypto space, for any position that a web3 company needs. This can range from CTO, any kind of dev, to operations managers etc.
I'm here to answer any questions you might have about how to get a job in the blockchain space.

disclaimer (I'm doing this as I'm bored as fuck and the earning potential in this space is too fucking good to miss out on)

Sounds good, but i don't actually recruit for one company. I approach new protocols / established companies and offer my services and take yearly salary percentage as commission

I know c++(10+ years exp), some algorithms and I am fairly bad at math, what kind of remote salary can you get me ?

P.s. forgot to say I don't believe in crypto

Alot of crypto companies are hiring for a good backend dev to work on (x) that will then communicate with whatever protocol they develop. You would do similar coding, as in; wouldnt have to learn anew language, and your salary could increase by 50%.
An example is I had to find a java dev with fintech experience, and they didnt need to know any solidity, or much about blockchain, and to work for my client on their backend (not even their protocol) the salary was about 40% more than an average web2 developer

Dont listen to these retards, rust is actually very handy to know, especially with the rise of solana.
My best advice to anyone on this thread (and you) would be to work at a start up for a couple years, Dosent even have to be well paid, or even a good start up at that, but having a crypto company on your resume for over 2 years makes you so so hireable.
No one wants anyone who jumps between jobs every 8months - 1year. Its the most unattractive thing to employers.

So I'm well on the way to becoming a web3 dev. I know HMTL, CSS, Javascript, and solidity and am ready to start looking for a job. Have Hella service industry experience so I'm very personable and easy to get along with. Am I missing any skills to make me a competitive candidate? I'm worried I'm too old to hang with cryptofags (29)

Not at all, you have done the right thing. Like i said previously, start ups are your best friend. Even if they are not well established, or even well paid; just having them on your CV for a couple years can land you a 6 figure job with ease - im not joking.

DESU trying to find some of these people for my clients are really hard. I work 12hrs a day 5 times a week finding top candidates in the space. You got to think, its a two way street. My candidates are wanted by everyone, so companies dont rly have a chance without a recruiter reaching out. On top of that, the actual time it takes to source these candidates is wayyyy to time consuming for any good crypto company due to their business demands

any good web2 dev can migrate to web3 therefore being competent in the job in no time,
you are a fucking retard for not making a business of helping decent devs faking their way with into the industry especially if these "companies" doesn't have the resources to check anything instead of spending 60hr per week trying to find "legit" ones (already have the "verifiable" magical lines on the resume)

hhaah im a fucking retard for not doing that business? Why dont you then you fucking reject. Also, even if i know a dev can do the job, dosent mean my client will think the same; hence this thread, im explaining what would make someone more attractive to a company.

I have degrees in chemical, nuclear, mechanical engineering but invested in crypto in 2017 and now have 1.5M portfolio and 2 houses.

I still work, but all I do is stare at charts and pretend to work.

Will any companies hire me as an advisor?
