the tech is clever...basically, they use the randomness of silicon molecules to with firmware grab a fingerprint. this is the hardware signature. it is called PUF. the iteresting part is no additional hardware is needed. engineer just needs to call to SDK. from there POS nodes are used to verify the PUF is legit. no spoofing or unauthorized access.
