The covid narrative only damaged crypto. The predictions were 200-350K BTC by 2022 pre-covid, 65K top would've been underwhelming at stable economy let alone post covid stimulus

but anyone who listened to the bitcoin maxis and bought in 2017~2018 are at least 50% in the green right now even if they bought at the $20k peak. Of course most people who bought in late 2017 / early 2018 got in around $12k~15k so they're looking at profits of 100% or better.

Meanwhile the 5-year return on the S&P 500 is only 75%. So no I don't agree with you that stocks outperformed crypto in the last 5 years -- they outperformed shitcoins, but not bitcoin.
