how are people still using it at 15 TPS?
is this why so many L2s are shilled on /biz?

why the fuck not move to something like Hedra with 10k TPS? at least HBAR foundation invests hundreds of millions into expanding the ecosystem unlike ETH foundation which keeps dumping at high prices

>> No.49302092

It will, don't worry. With BTC dumping to $ 8k, we'll see ETH at $ 200~300

This entire post reeks of ignorance into how ETH actually works and what distinguishes it from other smart contract platforms. Yes I know numbers are easy to grasp but you need to actually understand the trade-offs being made and the strengths/weaknesses of each. Simply put, going fast ain't shit if you aren't secure and free.

There’s nothing wrong with 15 TPS if the chain is truly decentralized and secure. Scaling should be done via L2, period. The issue is that ETH will be neither decentralized nor secure after the Merge (assuming it ever happens).

ill help explain it for you. ethereum is the most decentralized first mover smart contract blockchain. the amount of usage and value locked into the chain is relatively so high compared to other chains that everything else is insignificant. the price therefor is a reflection of the market's confidence and trust in ethereum as the premier smart contract platform that everything will be run on in the future. that's why it holds up so well with bitcoin this time around.

>> No.49303432

ETH will flip BTC.
All the hate towards ETH on /biz/ is from laggards who hate that they missed the boat.
Don't worry, I can relate, I'm salty too. I bought ETH at $700. And if it dumps hard again, guess what I'll just buy more.

Tech is irrelevant, look how many people play Minecraft, Dota, Lol or TF2 still, despite being so outdated.
As gay as it sounds all that matters is popularity, look at Apple.

honestly. i like eth in concept. but you can't escape the flaws. ii just seems like ETH is just a nerdy toy, like people who were into phreaking or sharing files on IRC/usenet services. who the fuck would use this? NFTs and Defi are the coolest thing to emerge from it. But the fees from defi and interacting with the network are too outrageous during congestion. and NFTs have become an absolute laughing stock.

the way the 2021 altcoin market flashed up then died like thermite. leads me to believe that ethereum is as much a shitcoin as anything else that has emerged. what's going to happen when mining goes away? why the fuck would you ever use ETH when there are superior versions of the technology. and those have already fizzled out.

it's all just marketing bullshit. we've been bamboozled with this garbage. i just wanted to make some fucking money. this is retarded. im supposed to put trust that people are going to want this garbage in 10 years? this is clown world man.

Btc isn't going 8k this time. It will be 15k-20k. It's value is logarithmic due to scarcity and increase in popularity. It's been following that pattern since it's inception. 2023-2024 will hit another all time high in the 100k+ range. Gen Z and millennials, this will be your last exit to build wealth. Screenshot this. Start accumulating a little bit now and have some "balls deep" cash ready soon...I'm guessing March 2023.

ccip is going to aggregate transactions between every blockchain protocol
many blockchains will essentially just be faceless infrastructure, ranked by reputation on many dev-end and investor interfaces
in not very long, "trustless real-world interfacing devices" or something to that effect will be a thing; cameras/temperature sensors/CNC machines/odometers/power meters/whatever acting in trusted execution enclaves that relay data back to oracles for processing to determine whether any on-chain insurance/collateral/payment/verify-and-forward/you name it contracts that depend on this data should or shouldn't be executed, etcetera
it's not even speculation—when chainlink puts out CCIP, it's literally happening, and probably within less than two years
all the pieces needed to make it happen will exist
on-chain dapps that give standardized functionality to TEE-enabled sensors will become a thing—i.e., dapps for cameras, dapps for USB and ethernet cables, dapps for car computers, dapps for solar panels, dapps for anything you can name that can feasibly have embedded TEE functionality
as the oracle, chainlink captures all. and i mean. all. of the value
the world is going to be a significantly better place
obviously, TEE security is going to be a major focus in the upcoming years

and this economy has made people so desperate that instead of buying chainlink, they buy dogcoins because a dogcoin was shilled to them by someone who simply plays the government's game really good, and they frequently do it on a platform that robs them and every other speculator with every transaction, eventually making everyone broke which thus eventually leaves the single beneficiary asset that fees are paid in grossly overvalued and insanely fragile against economic attack

yeah, i know, you know, whatever
