I like to look nice, but by my standards. I exclusively wear surplus leather combat boots or old Heelys. Base layers like tank tops, buy moisture wicking stuff cheap from Costco in big sets. Socks are all darntough or sockdreams. I get a lot of random stuff from aliexpress that's all 5-15 bucks at the most; some is cheap and bad but there's occasional gems, so I just sell or give away the stuff that doesn't fit and buy multiple copies of the stuff that does and wear the same thing. Lots of military surplus pants from different countries, British ones are real comfy, 20 to 40 bucks each (sometimes cheaper if you get lucky) and more durable than anything else you'll find. I was at Tripp's flagship store so I got a new floor length skirt there that's basically just the edgelord version of cargo pants, can hold a full thinkpad charger and several books and all the usual pocket stuff, it was 130 bucks.

For corporate wear I just have a couple slacks and pencil skirts from Express and some boutique goth brand button-ups, like 70 bucks each. I had a custom suit made before but I didn't care for the cut, I'd like a new one one day but no one wears suits anymore except in a couple client industries and I'm already overdressed at most clients doing the corpgoth thing.

Most expensive stuff is etsy shit but it's usually custom, you can get really neat things there, custom trenchcoats and whatnot.

Basically just wear the same thing every day (depending on what kinda stuff I'll be doing) so just make whatever that is look cool to you and you'll be happy with it. I don't know why designer brands are so popular, it's boring normalfag shit and isn't really durable at all considering how they bend you over for the price. Doesn't even look cool.

Black timberland boots, levi's jeans and some basic t-shirts. If you have a good body you will look good enough and you won't need to buy anything for years. Simple and effective.

Boots are very important on men. They fix your posture and make you look much better. Similar to what high heels do to wamen.

Cheap gildans for T-shirts (quality doesn’t really increase much as you go up in price), somewhat mid range button ups (except for this expensive silk one I barely wear), expensive Japanese denim jeans, expensive coat, expensive shoes (Ultraboosts for beaters). I don’t go for hypebeast stuff, I try to go for real quality stuff if I’m splurging. I used to wear the absolute cheapest shit I could find before I reached the 500k mark, before that my daily outfit was probably worth two happy meals.

In order to keep their merchandise out of unauthorized sellers hands, most companies destroy unsold merchandise. Clothes are typically burned. H&M alone has burned 70-80 tons since 2013 (some claim homeless people were wearing the thrown away clothing.) Others like Chanel or Louis Vuitton simply refuse to devalue their clothing by discounting. Keeping in mind most clothes nowadays are part synthetic, like polyesters and dyes, the burning process takes its toll. Surely there's no side effect with all those broken down chemicals being released into our environment, right?

As little as possible (2-3 bucks for a T-shirt, 10-15 bucks for a pair of pants, etc.). Except for underwear and shit that's supposed to withstand a lot of wear and tear, I buy all my clothes second hand. They're usually a lot better than first hand clothing (better fit, lower chance of getting clothes made of shit materials or with shit stitching, etc.).

I love fashion, but I love just as much living simply and modestly. The bulk of my wardrobe consists of quality, nondesigner garments, supplemented by a few choice designer pieces, all bought used. It's a happy compromise I've found, and I bet good money I spend overall less on clothes than the average normie, while still looking better.

The only thing I'll really spend a lot on is shoes. One to work in for a year or so, one nicer pair if I go out, and one formal pair in case I need to wear something like that.
