Why is there a deadline to file a claim with a class action lawsuit? Meta violated my privacy and settled on some paltry sum of 400 dollars and I can’t even claim that because I had no idea about this class action suit nor any arbitrary deadline

the idea is that if you were significantly harmed, your subconscious would instinctively look for ways to be financially compensated, with suing as a first priority. that was the thinking that US lawmakers had in mind anyway.
