Imagine, your parents and grandparents got to live in a normal ass house like the one in your pic related on a single income while also having kids and now you're priced out because the same house now goes for $2 million and your salary isn't even enough to pay for anything outside of your basic costs of living and god forbid you have an emergency and a slight blip in your costs because you won't be able to cover it and you'll have to take on debt and eventually venture into the death spiral of compound interest working against you.
