pretty noob question but when it's all crumbling down and you all yell SELL SELL SELL, what do you actually sell it for?
Do you sell it for USD or do you buy another coin that's not crashing?
I'm wondering because I always imagined I would just sell if shit hits the fan but now I realized there's nothing to sell it for. I can't send it cuckbase because cuckbase never works when they need to, and the other exchanges only allow me exchange btc for shitcoins (which crash together with btc).
so yeah, wtf are you supposed to do?

bumperino because I really don't know.
I don't understand how people dump their coins for example if the exchanges are down?
are they dumping it by buying another coin?
am I fundamentally not understanding how markets work?

You can profit from the redline. Why don't you just hold long tho?

Anyway, one way is you need to learn to trade differently. This is called options, equities or cfd's. It depends on what your exchange offers. Some offer those facilities.

Just as you spotted an uptrend, these other options allow you make money from the downtrend.

You can bet against a stock using call/put and double your money. What I do is when I see one of my stock tank, I use other trading methods to bet against it to and offset the loss.

Once you get in with a good trade, your rolling stop-loss just keeps popping money back into your account. I automate everything.

>Why don't you just hold long tho?
because trading is fun, I enjoy the research, the excitement when you buy a bunch. that little nagging feeling of uncertainty is my shot of adrenaline.
so I want to sell the high and buy the low. ride the wave

but it seems I need to look into an exchange that suits my needs. my modus operandi has been buying btc with fiat on coinbase, moving it to either bittrex or binance and go from there.

thanks

I sold all my bitcoIn today on coinbase. Took 6 attempts and price fluctuated between 17,500 and 19,000 before it went through at 17,900.

I use a couple of exchanges, as not one exchange fits my needs.

IQOption isn't the greatest, but it offers facilities for trading crypto on 'Options', which is a bet for 'Will it rise or fall?". You can bet as little as a dollar and win/lose in a timeframe you set e.g 30 second or more. Certainly, that's one alternative to deal with redline trends.

It also offers CFD, but that takes practise. But once you understand it, let me explain, you can setup a rolling pip in a profitable trade, which automatically locks at the last dip, protecting your profit across a rolling interval at the exchange side, that you set. Easy money.
