I think there are arguments for both. Monero getting cracked open would instantly make destroy its value. Bitcoin getting slower and more forked could gradually move people to a new reserve currency that would cause it to eat shit. At least in BTC's case people should be able to se it coming.

I've been in BTC since 2011 and Monero is the best looking coin right now as far as being used as a currency. All the other private coins like zcash and dash are kinda shit.

I've been 90% XMR 10% BTC since August and I plan to keep it that way. Monero is the only true crypto coin out there. It's the real deal, actually better than Bitcoin imo
