Got a new ledger wallet and I'm making sure it works. Is there any way to make sure it actually works without sending eth to it and then back out? If I can get to the send ether & tokens page on MEW with it, does that mean it gave me the right public address?
I'm really just asking cause i'm a penny pincher and don't want to spend the Eth moving stuff back and forth if I don't have to.

I don't want to wait like 2 days for ethereum transaction confirmations just to verify that the ledger is working properly! Binance could get Mt Gox'd and/or chink'd right fuggin now!!!!

How come when I connect to ledger through my etherwallet I have like 5 different Eth addresses to choose from. Have just been using the top one for now

it's because ledger promotes laundering. jk but Don't worry about it and keep using one address for simplicity unless you want to be super safe and use multiple addresses (in case someone super lucky hacks one address).
