bitcoin.bitaccess.co and canadianbitcoins.com are shit and charge way too much per transaction. What are the best ways for Canadian to buy? To avoid charges I just been buying on normiebase and transferring to my wallet because its cheaper that way but its aids.

QuadrigaCX is the only answer to this question. I did use Coinbase to buy with credit card when I wanted to get in quickly too though.

How reliable is that site anyways. I read it's a little iffy.

I use coinsquare. Not sure why everyone says it's so bad.

Quadriga has been very reliable in my experience. It hasn't ever been down when i have tried to access it, including during high traffic times like the big dip earlier this week.

Ive tried signing up with them after I heard of them but verification has been over a week now.

Quadriga

/thread

Note though - they put up their own buy/sell walls and it's not as fluid as exchanges like Bitfinix - so you cannot swing trade well there. They skip over the dips.

I use my quadriga account to change my CAD fiat into crypto, usually ETH or LTC for transferring ease (fast and cheap to send). Then I transfer them to my Binance account. Binance has no required ID verification for buying or selling, 0.1% fees. And has a decent mobile trading app. When you make an account on Binance use my referral number fellow canuk: 11126315
Even if you don't plan on using the platform, just make an account and check it out. I spend weeks researching and this seems to me like the best options for Canadians. Then to cash out, I transfer back to Quadriga and do bank wire deposits. Pretty easy imo.

Yuu don't have to do in depth verification if your just doing cash in the mail, only bank transfers and stuff.

I prefer online transactions to cash in mail to be honest

understandable i suppose if your paranoid. Priority mail is pretty safe though in canada but like i said, understandable.

anybody want to tell us what they did for the tax plan in Canada? CRA after you if you don't report it?

Yea better idea to, 50% of your capital gains are taxable as income. So It's not that bad and probably not worth the risk of them finding out 7 years down the road that you participated in tax evasions

The trading interface while better is still pretty shit. Not a problem if you're gonna move the coins anyway. But they make you wait a week til you can move your coins which is an eternity in crypto
