I have a business idea. I want you to tell me how plausible it is. Here I go
A flight booking website except the flights are supercheap. In exchange they'll have to watch a shitton of ads. Will I make profit?

on a scale of 0/10?

How much money do you think you'll get on average for one of your visitors watching one minute of ads?

People with adblock cannot access my site
People with anti adblock killer cannot access my site

Depends on two things:

1. Your user base is too dumb to install Ublock
2. Your user base doesn't have friends and family who install Ublock for them because they are tired of removing malware from ads on their computer.

Then they think your site is broken and just use Expedia.

No, you're asking if you'd make a profit but fine. You haven't done any research.

I estimate one minute of advertising will bring in $0.02. Now what?

>implying the $0.05 revenue you get per 30 sec ad watched will offset the costs you're going to incur by reducing the price of flights
Protip: no travel booking site actually sets the price for flights. Airlines sell their aggregate info to a global distribution system (e.g. SABRE) and SABRE resells the info to expedia

Okay thanks for your inputs. I'll come up with a new idea tomorrow

There is a site called Swagbucks that pays you to essentially watch commercials and fill out marketing surveys. You might make $1 for watching an hour of ads and shit. The value of each ad is therefore really, really low.

The revenue from bombarding the users to a shitload of advertisements is going to be a drop in the bucket compared to your ~$400 ticket for your average economy flight. Ad revenue is going to be nowhere near enough to offset the cost of a flight in any meaningful way
