I will say one bad thing about being around really positive successful people is they can be delusionally optimistic. You need smart cynical friends as well. If you tell your positive friends that you're going to start a business they are going to say "that's great. you'll do awesome." your cynical friends will tell you "what the fuck are you doing? you're going to fail. look at the statistics." You need some way to get negative feedback when you are actually fucking up.
