I have 85% BTC and 15% ETH. Convince me why I should buy altcoins on the off chance that one of them is a lottery ticket. By even bought?

Depends, are you already rich? If so, stay the course. If not, consider this, the alt coins that have had staying power over a year or two have made upwards of 30000% relative to bitcoin. If I put every free cent into bitcoin after 2013 the best I could hope for is a 2000% return with perfect timing. The future is no different. Smart money would dictate you should hold btc, and eth, and whatever established coin you happen to like, but also diversify your risk for greater rewards. It's also a lot of fun.

alt coins can go to 1 to 100x one day, btc will take years, you only have 70 years of life

Buy a privacy coin, having what you have as a foundation is solid, but you're missing this component.

Monero can be used as an almost defacto tax haven since it's untraceable, it's going to have applications in businesses that need the added privacy, or just people that want to avoid being cucked by the IRS

Bitcoin has its own problems right now, I would hedge your position with Bitcoin Cash and add in some Monero to diversify.

My portfolio right now is 40% BTC, 30% XMR, 20% ETH, 10% BCH

>going for +/-3% gains
>holding for no reason other than fear rather than going into ETH and LTC that are more stable where you know the +/-10% swings are constant
>not taking advantage of this during the most exploitable period when normies are fluxing in

Screenshot this, ETC, STRATIS, LISK, ARK. If you're shopping for altcoins, these are the four horsemen of gains.

only cucks hold btc, because they are so scared to dare and lose it all, linkies dare to win bigly, linkies aren't afraid to die to make it

It shouldn't take you long to realize that ETH and LTC basically aren't alts. They just shadow whatever BTC is doing.

Go to Cuckbase and look at today's chart, for example.

The charts follow EVERY NUANCE of what BTC did. Maybe not down to the exact subtleties, but they pretty much fall in line.

In that sense, investing in ETH or LTC is pointless. You might as well just put it in BTC.

Meanwhile, as for alts, when BTC has a tantrum, all of the alts simply crash, and take longer to get back up.

This market is a piece of shit that relies almost totally on the gravitational pull of BTC.

ETH has no backlog. ETH has no permanent restriction on block size. ETH is finite and capped at 105 mil., ETH transactions cost about 2 cents. ETH is not controlled by JP Morgan, (BTC is), ETH provides code that can be coded into smart contracts that are in embedded in mathematical code, cant be fucked with. The people behind ETH are not neckbeards.

You are just looking at lines and ignoring amplitude. I suspect you don't even know you are doing this. Opinion disregarded.
